Surprisingly, I’ve never watched this movie, but I’ll add it to my list along with the book. Our homeschool is built around comparing movies to the books they came from, and we love seeing how the two measure up!

Wow, thatʼs awesome! I would have loved even a class like that, let alone a school built around that! The themes and historical backdrop of this story make it a great choice—so much to talk about.

When Christmas rolls back around, my very first review was of Charles Dickensʼ A Christmas Carol. Then I reviewed several movie adaptations, comparing them to the original and sometimes each other. And Iʼve only just begun—there must be a few dozen such adaptations and I donʼt think Iʼve even identified them all yet!

Iʼve also reviewed “The Greatest Gift”, which is the short story that It’s a Wonderful Life is based on,and then I reviewed the movie. Itʼs a really interesting contrast between a very short story and a long epic Christmas film. Another great holiday choice for your family!
